About Us
Who we are ...
Exploration Geophysics has been offered as a formal course since 1969 at
Curtin University (then known as W.A.I.T.). In 1990 Exploration Geophysics
became a separate department, which is unique in a University environment.
The department is a part of The Western Australian School of Mines (WASM).
What we do ...
We offer a full range of industry recognised courses from a three year
undergraduate bachelor’s course (BSc) through to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
Graduating students readily gain employment in all aspects of exploration
geophysics such as the oil, gas and mineral industries
We participate in world class research with involvement in Cooperative
Research Council (CRC) grants to partnerships with industry.
Where we are ...
We are located in the Australian Resources Research Centre (ARRC) Building
situated in Technology Park West.
